The HF-LC1/IR70 has a built-in flow restrictor (0.6 gpm) to allow for maximum contact time. Since the flow rate is restricted, the HF-LC1/IR70 filter is better for under sink drinking water systems and not whole house systems
The HF-LC1/IR70 shoud always have a GAC (Granular Activated Carbon prefilter for longer life and better proformance.
