Well Water Taste & Odor Filters

Taste and Odor Filters (T&O) can remove unpleasant smells, tastes and Iron from your well water.  T & O filters will not remove bacteria but will remove the after taste and smell often left in well water when the water has been treated to kill bacteria.  Concentration of Iron in well water will leave a rotten egg smell and reddish color in water which can be removed using a combination of a Well Water Sediment Filter and a Well Water Taste and Odor Filter with Iron Reduction. Choose from the selection below that filter that best meets your needs.

Carbon Block filters should be used to treat taste and odor not carbon impregnated celulose filters since celulose will often times break down in well water and cause serious maintenance problems. 

Flow rates can be restricted using smaller size or too small of mircron
filters so heavy duty filters (BB) either in 10 or 20 inch lengths work best. 

Dirt, sand and turbitity should be removed before the T&O filter using a well water sediment filter.
